NEW ZEALAND - UP NORTH
A few months ago, I decided to leave everything behind and move to New Zealand. It was that ultimate goal I knew I had to achieve one day.
After months of planning, this became less of a photography ambition and more of a personal challenge. For the first time in my life, I took matters into my own hands and did something I've always wanted to do - it was now or never. I can proudly say, this has been the biggest and best decision I've made in my life.
These images are the highlights of my first month in a year-long journey throughout New Zealand. In this time, I’ve captured breathtaking scenes from Auckland, the Taipu Caves, Raglan, Rotoura, Tauranga, the Forgotten Highway, Mt. Taranaki in New Plymouth and Wellington. The North Island's geography is incredibly diverse, you can explore rainforests, beaches, hot springs, geysers, lakes, rivers, volcanoes, and of course, glowworm caves.
To move away from the ordinary colors, I used the Hue, Saturation and Luminance section of Adobe Lightroom to distort and change the scenery of some of the images. As a result, this gives them a completely different mood and style.
All the images were taken with a Fujifilm XT-2, Fujinon 18mm, 35mm, 50-230mm, Rokinon 12mm lenses and a Mavic Pro Drone. Edited and processed on Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
