The number ZERO is neither positive nor negative. It can be the beginning and

the end. It is at the same time nothing and everything. The 24hrs project zero by

ARTIM LAB is the outcome of a workshop lead by artist Faig Ahmed. The workshop

challenged the artists to bring themselves into a state of reflection, of empUness

and fullness, distance towards themselves and closeness at once. The workshop examined the position of the creative work within expectaUons and relations to the artist himself and the audience within their reality. Going back to existential quesUons it was an akempt to leave the circuit of production and to pause for a short time dropping out from the pressure of individualisation and competitiveness of the art market structure. This 24hrs ARTIM LAB project is an experiment that asks the question how to involve yourself as an artist into society in both, the most minimal and the greatest possible way.
