Colors and shades of Cuba

Colours and shades of Cuba
Cuba | February 2016

Cuba is a hell for photographer. Or a paradise, depends on how you see it. Everywhere you turn there’s some pretty frame just waiting for you to get caught. You can play this pokemon game like everybody else, or try to create your own rules. If you follow the easy way, you end up with hundreds of incredibly pretty, well-saturated images you already know from postcards, travel magazines, instagram, etc. When I look at them I often can say precisely on what street it was taken and who is this lady with a cigar or this guy playing the trumpet.

I wanted to show you different side of Cuba, both touristic and less known. These are regular cubans, not posing for pictures. Just normal life in a country with light like no other.

Photos were made during 1400-km bicycle trip from Havana to Santiago de Cuba.
