Palmquist Law Professor Named Chair of ABA’s Accreditation Committee
Professor Michael J Henry Will Lead Committee for One Year

Hosea, WI- Professor Michael J Henry, a law professor at the School of Law, Palmquist University, was just named the chair of a prestigious committee—the Accreditation Committee of the American Bar Association.

Coincidently, Henry is also widely known as the best professor on the law faculty. He joined the faculty in 1992, and then served as university general counsel from 1994 to 1999. Henry went on to serve as the dean of the School of Law from 2002 to 2006. Henry earned a degree in English from Indiana University and from there he went on to the University of Michigan earn his law degree.

After being on the committee for the past six years and last year, Henry served as the vice chair of the ABA. It only seems fitting for the ABA to announce today, that Henry will become the chair; where he will preside over the committee for one year. The committee consists of 19 other members, who are legal educators as well. Seeing how more than 40 states, including Wisconsin, require graduation from an accredited law school in order to practice law in that state, making it ABA’s most-important committee.

Henry will preside over the committees meetings during ABA’s annual meeting held in New York, convening in July. The committee oversees accreditation of U.S.-based law schools that are seeking accreditation from the ABA. Palmquist University was rated one of “The Top Five Most Friendly Campuses in the USA” by “College USA,” taking from a study performed by Yale University last spring. “I’m deeply honored and will serve to the best of my ability.” Said Henry and we know you will Professor.
