While training under Zara at her studio I was approached and asked if I could do an illustration portrait of her in black and white, while giving a nod to Bruce Lee.

They supplied me with a collection of shots of Zara from a recent shoot and I took some inspiration from poses I had seen of Bruce Lee.

I settled on the pose and went about creating a high contrast black and white portrait. Once complete I felt the design needed a slightly more obvious nod to the requested Bruce Lee element. So I added a yellow stripe down the side of her top, a reverse colour of the well-known outfit worn by Bruce himself.
