A new release for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, The Energy Mode X18+ football boots required a special seeding pack for key athletes and influencers. The Global Brand Design packaging team created a unique structure and graphics to display the light, speed, and high energy of these boots.
The X split box is a direct link to adidas football's X silo. Small details, like stitching, stylized threads, and dots for additional grip were translated into patterns used on the box. These patterns are in a spot gloss varnish on the exterior, and blue on the interior.
We utilized fluorescent, live edge acrylic, blue hot foil, and laser etching to highlight other key elements of the boots.
