This is part of a project where we were asked to create a spotify thumbnail, cd case and record case to accompany a song, playlist or sound, however this was the only part of the project that I felt proud of. The sound I shaped the work around was the sound of me writing a page full of lyrics from the song "Somebody To Love" by Queen, and so all of my outcomes utilised sharpie markers.

I was inspired by a girl I know studying Fine Arts who's work looks at line work much like this, creating shapes and lines using different materials and media. Originally I was going to do this on a whole piece of A1, however after discussions I decided that if I were to be creating an 'art' piece out of sharpies then it would make sense to do it on rougher material - since sharpies are barely ever used delicately or for fine art purposes - and take a more ironic approach to the project.
