SITE REDESIGN
THE PROBLEM
Wechat Mall is the online channel for RR donnelley, which is connecting commercial customers as the port of B2B. The original design did not show the difference from the online bookstore which focus on sales, and it lacked brand proposition.
WHO INVOLVE
Wechat Mall mainly focus on connecting with business partner and also face to consumer. So it is necessary to combine the features of both two group and plan the design of the page.
For the publishers, except the quality of print, they’re also seeking a solution to solve problems including inventory control, copyright management.
OUR SOLUTION
ORGANIZE CONTENT
Firstly, I organized the page content, distinguished sequence. Use ranking list, showed the potential of book selling online to publisher. And simplify category, display characteristics of goods.
I chose to use Source Han Sans for Wehcat Mall, that is a beautiful typeface and fits the core values of the product well.
START DESIGN
Choose tech - inspired images as silder, lets user have a knowledge about RR Donnelley’s digital service. We also highlight the ranking list and mark bookstore map to make a strong relation with publisher and bookstore.
And I work with IT team to launch the new page to the systerm.
CUSTOMIZATION SERVICE
ABOUT PROJECT
In 2017 we have a new project to promote our digital print service online. The project is to develop a function that if our customer buy a book on our Wechat Mall, he can choose a service to upload a picture then we can print it on the title page of the book he bought.
I responible for the visual deisgn, consider the user experience to develop the flow about the function, launch it with IT team and vendor.
FUNCTION DEVELOPMENT
Refer to competitor like amazon print, I discuss the solution with team, and I want create a clear visual with simple function, to focus customer’s attention on using.
And I draw the wireframe, make workflow with considering the experience of user.

Finaly, I upload the function with IT team and our vendor. It helpes to expand our online business.
