Once a weapon, now a work of Arabian art. The Khanjar stands out amongst the customary knife with its curved dagger, silver, and intricate design. It was once used for hunting and a form of a status symbol, however, now mostly used for special events such as weddings and ceremonies. The craftsmanship has changed over the years into a more economical standard as it has become a popular souvenir item. This brings up the question to whether tradition and culture is properly being represented through this commercial market.
