Baseball Vs Softball: Which One Is Better
If you are a sports person then you already know that there will always be rivalries between sports. You most probably prefer a certain sport over another. This is normal. There are those people who prefer basketball over wrestling or football over soccer. Well you have all the right to dislike one of these sports and like the other because they are world’s apart. But how about when two, almost similar, sports are in question; like softball and baseball? This post will put to rest the battle between softball and baseball.

Baseball is better than softball in whichever angle you look at it from. But let this post not be misunderstood of propagating sexism. It is intended to compare the sports and nothing more. With that aside, lets get to some real business now.

Baseball came before softball. So it will be correct to say that baseball houses the tradition of the game. It is the birthplace of softball and so whatever fun is there in softball, it was taken from baseball. Without baseball there is no softball. So you will be correct to say that baseball is the father of softball and this makes baseball dominant over its offspring.

Baseball has a huge fan base as compared to softball. It goes without saying it is better than softball. You don’t want to be the only person attending the softball friendly match do you?

Baseball naturally ranks above softball. But that aside, these two sports are different than many people realize. A baseball field is much larger and the ball moves faster. The general speed of the game is quickened by the smaller field in softball. Most people have argued that there is more difficulty in hitting a softball than it is to hit a baseball. But come to think of it, with a larger ball and lighter bat, combined with a lower pitching speed and shorter fences, do you think the difference in pitching angle will make hitting a softball harder?

It goes without saying that increased area per player makes the throw much further and the defense much more difficult and this is why baseball is hard and more fun than softball.

So with that argument put to rest, you now understand why baseball will always be the better than softball. Unless the rules change, of which I don’t think they will, baseball will still remain better than softball.
