Project 5 Booklet Art 230

Magazine Booklet Art 230 Typography Project 5

It is interesting to ponder to create for someone else, someone specific, to create a gift for for one person but could be wonderfully received by many others. This project is for my Granddaughter Mya, who daily faces the world with a smile, and a netball or weight in her hand. We were asked to create a gift booklet from a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Conference talk.

Each year the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints joins as a worldwide congregation to hear our prophet and other inspired leaders give us council. The talk I chose to share with Mya is from Elder Brian K. Taylor, and it is titled, "I Am a Child of God?"

Would you not want to know that you, yes you are a child of God too?

This project used all the skills and knowledge of the fonts we have use through out the class to create our booklet. I actually tried out all the variations of the ? marks available to us in the student font pack, and then came back to the first one I used to make my initial draft. While I liked the curly ones, and the fun ones, and the tall and skinny ones, the one I chose was Neue Haas Grotesk Bold's ? mark for the cover.

Learning about Typography has opened up the world of words to me. For that I am so grateful.
