This is the first painting I made upon returning to the United States after a year living and working in Japan. The majority of my previous work was black and white. Homecoming was my first serious jump into color. Having been born and raised in Arizona, I decided to use desert colors. This painting use natural earthy colors within geometric shapes borrowed from cities. It is a blend of two favorite things.
