CREATIVE COMPOSITE WORK
For part of my senior capstone class, I spent some time creating a fantasy scene in Photoshop. I found some photos on Unsplash.com, downloaded them and then went to work masking them together until they all were composited seamlessly. It took me a few days to do all of the masking, but about 4 weeks trying to figure out what exactly it was that I wanted to do for my project. I spent some time writing up a creative brief, and then doing some sketching.
You can probably tell from my sketches, that I was really struggling to figure out one single thing to make in Photoshop, but I FINALLY settled on an ocean scene. I wanted it to be fantasy-like and moody so I made sure to edit every layer to represent that.

Mostly, it was a lot of masking. I applied a few hue/sat adjustments along the way to make sure that everything had a similar look. I also applied a color lookup adjustment at the end to bring it all together and to give it a more finished look. Then I added a lens flare from the sun and called it a day! Tell me what you think in the comments! :)
