2014

These animals represent the twelve zodiac animals. They are used to describe the history on the origins of letters for the section ‘Wisdom of the Past’ in the exhibition. I made them while I worked at the Children's Museum at National Museum of Korea.

In fact, prior to my illustration, there was another version of twelve animals. The appearance of the animals in the previous illustration was historically accurate, but looked quite scary for children. Children tended not to come close to the section. So we needed a new illustration for children and I was in charge of it. Contrary to the previous illustration, I used the bright colors and simple shapes in my new illustration.
