Problem
Inadequate fisheries regulations and the lack of their implementation and enforcement has made overfishing a serious problem in the US. Spreading awareness and raising more funds for this cause could greatly help to improve the current situation. Here are some overfishing facts gathered from various resources:
- Half of all fish caught in the north sea are thrown back overboard dead.
- 90% of large fish like tuna and swordfish have been removed from the oceans.
- 25% of the world's captured fish are caught and harmed unintentionally. These sea creatures include whales, dolphins, turtles, sharks, seals, and many other species.
- One billion people rely on fish as an important source of protein.
- 87% of global fisheries are fully exploited or overexploited.
- 25% of U.S. fisheries are known to be sustainable.
- 1% of the world's Industrial fishing fleets account for 50% of the world's catches.
- Only 0.6 per cent of the world’s oceans are designated as protected.

Solution
A conceptual non-profit initiative campaign against overfishing. This project contains a parallax scrolling website, poster & banner ads, and the invitation materials for a fundraising gala.
