Wolfgang Weingart: Bold Explorer

Project 3: Fan Book
This book was designed following the research into the legacy of the great Wolfgang Weingart, Father of Postmodern graphic design. It was constructed as a timeline where the gradients of color act as the progression of postmodern started in Basel, Germany and travelled back to the United States and all around the world. Weingart's greatest success was in his ability to share new ideas to his students at Basel, so each card contains pieces of information discussing important facts about postmodernism. The backs of the cards are photos of New Wave (or postmodern) graphic design created by not only Weingart but the people he influenced. For example, April Greiman, Dan Friedman, David Carson, Katherine McCoy, etc.
