Cork is an extremely versatile material and is growing in popularity. It is entirely sustainable in its production and has been used to replace many other materials as a vegan alternative.

The Stackable Plant Pots integrate notions of sustainability and can be degraded in the long run due to its material properties. The pots are solely made with natural products, specifically with industrial cork, hide glue as the resin, and soil, weeds, seeds, nutrients and dried leaves.

Making
The pots are created with multiple moulds and pressure from the hydraulic press for even compression.

After a series of experiments, we found that metal can strengthen the cork structure,
as well as provide a lovely juxtaposition to the natural appearance of the cork.

The plants in the pots aims to exhibit the image of the plants returning to their natural habitat in an urban space.
