Human Trafficking Summit

Introduction:
In this project we wanted to highlight the struggle that the people still enslaved have to deal with, because our school has a summit to discuss a major problem. To search for inspiration we looked for pictures that made some sort of statement that empowered the person featured in the photo. We did this to avoid some sort of negative feeling that could be associated with our picture if we chose the wrong type of inspiration to affect our ideation process. By using pictures with a positive feel we were able to incorporate a more positive design that instead of making the viewer feel stressed out we would rather make a strong clear statement.

Final Product:
After making numerous comps we went with the one that resounded with our cause the most. Then decided that even though we were trying to create an empowering poster our message was darker so we chose to keep the words from before but make it grittier and darker, while still emphasizing the different faces nd the different parts of them. We have the old woman with a whily smile, a little girl with cautious eyes, and another little girl who seems reluctant to have her photo taken. These expressions reflect on the overall message that people are people an have feelings of their own, whether they be angry happy sad scared they are not objects to be sold.
