Theatrical promotional images and graphics
The American Century Theater (TACT)'s goal is to produce often overlooked and under-produced plays from the first half of the 20th Century. This has given me a wonderful opportunity to glimpse, and summarize, and reexamine these stories and give them a fully modern face -- one that will appeal to to today's audiences.
I served as the graphic artist for The American Century Theater from 2005-2012, designing original promotional images. I designed the program layouts until their final production in the summer of 2015, when they closed
While the programs are printed in black and white, numerous ads, web graphics, and promotional posters allow the use of color. Coming up with designs that work in both color and B&W and reformatting them to fit and maintain their balance in a wide variety of publication formats made for challenging and exciting work.
