This Piece is a reflection of my interest in the domestic iconic 1940’s housewife. From the 1940‘s well into the 1960‘s there was a strict gender biased code. With these garments I wanted to create a conversation between the two pieces. The garment on the left being the literal depiction of the iconic figure. The garment on the right is an inside view on how this women would really have felt.
