Succulents survive in the harshest conditions and thrive while using the bare minimum. All the while they are some of the most beautiful and striking plants on the face of the planet. I created this product set to help women in tough situations feel lovely and help them visualize the successes that they will reach with just a little help for their local charities.
While ideating I tested out a lot of ideas with a focus of the retail experiences for people that don't get to enjoy shopping very often.
An app to help different charity organizations keep in contact to better assist the folks that look to them for help. This idea also lets people set up a wish list for items that they need just in case a scarce item is donated.
The main product I designed is ASEN, an adjustable retail shelving option that has a feminine yet functional aesthetic. TENE is a can holder that is an associated project that holds and dispenses canned goods. Both are meant to quickly assembled but lovely.
TENE can be east carried while full to limit the strain on the volunteers and full-time employees of charity organizations and food pantries.
The goal was to create a product set and system to maximize the effectiveness of charitably donated items to women in need with a focus on new or soon to be mothers. More than that however I wanted to encourage individuals that need help getting back on their feet to accept a hand up rather than feeling lessened by taking a hand out.
