THIS IS... series
In this project I wanted to make learning about history (in particular historical figures) more appealing by making it a more engaging, personal experience. Instead of having to wade through endless texts on things that only half interest you, in search for something that will maybe get your blood pumping of excitement, these booklets give you a quick run down of every aspect of a person. This way you can leaf through the pages and quickly and effortlessly pick out the things that intrigue you, giving you the opportunity to learn more about these specific objects alone.

What makes these booklets even more interesting is that they give you a head start when you want to look further into the subjects. Simply rip open the french folds and you get a starting point. Scan QR codes leading you to specific texts or images or go to google and search the given keywords, opening up a new world of information.

A small clarification of the concept.
The wired binding allows the reader to look inside the french fold without needing to worry about breaking the binding.
The pages are easy to open up with the help of an knife or scissors.
What the booklets should end up looking like. Used, torn open, explored.
For the assessment presentation I decided to put together a mini exhibition, showing the booklets and introducing the opportunity to scan QR codes and search key words. This way my tutors could look through my work at their own pace and ask questions when they wanted to.

The project was also exhibited for a week at ECI Cultuurfabriek in Roermond with all the other graduates' projects.
