Bride's Guide to Georgetown | Fall 2016

Bride's Guide to Georgetown | Design Studio III
After working as a bridal stylist in Georgetown for BHLDN and J.Crew, I've developed a love for bridal. Over the years, I've worked with hundreds of brides all looking for the perfect dress. Many of the brides I work with do what I call "the bridal loop", where they spend their day going to all of the bridal shops on M St and Wisconsin Ave with their friends and family. Brides will always ask for my recommendations on where to eat, shop, and hang out in between their appointments.
For my Design Studio III class, I created an app called the Bride's Guide to Georgetown. Designed to ease the bride's mind, the app divides the M St. and Wisconsin Ave area into three segments— Luxury Dress Ave, The In Between, and The Shopping District, to best cater to their needs. Brides and their parties can select where they are and what they are looking for, all while staying within the route. The app includes where to find the best gowns (and bridesmaid's dresses), grab a cup of coffee or quick bite, a delicious sit-down meal, and more. I photographed a majority of the images used, designed the app in Sketch App, and used InVision App to create the prototype.
