Photos taken using the High Dynamic Range (HDR) technique. It involves taking several photos of the same scene with some over exposed and some under exposed and then using Photoshop to merge them all together. The result is a photo that looks more like what you would see with the eye with deeper shadows and brighter lights in areas that a photo would normally not carry them. Pictures of something in motion will look odd or ghostly since the overlapping photos will not be in the same position.
