“Eating carrots leads or decrease the refractive error- means glass power or number”

This is the most common myth but eating carrot is the good source of the Vitamin A. if there is the deficiency of the vitamin A, will definitely affect the vision. It is essential to take the balanced diet like that is full of carrots and other vegetables.

“Refractive error will reduce by using the glasses for some time.”

This is the completely a myth. Glasses help to normalize your vision. But it will not cure the refractive error.

“Prolonged television viewing or studying on computers leads refractive error problem in children”

This is also the complete myth. The refractive error just increases with the enhancement of the size of the eyeball. Long computer usage sometimes causes strain, headaches, and dryness in the eyes. This will not affect the glass number.
“Watching television closely harms the eyes”

Watching television closely can only put the strain on your eyes. This will not cause any permanent damage to the eyes or the vision. This is totally the myth that children develop the glasses by watching the TV.
“Radiations of computer or TV screen can damage the eyes.”

This is the not true. No harmful radiations have been coming out of the screen. If the brightness and contrast are not set properly, this will lead to the strain and water to the eyes of the person.
“Eye Exercises can remove glasses.”

This is also the complete myth that exercise can remove the glasses. There is not any real exercise that can cure the nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism.
“Try to read the small letter with the weak eyes”

This is not also true. One should read whatever to the extent his or her vision allows.
“If you have only one eye, then it’s usage affect the other eye”

This is not true. The normal eye should continue to function in the perfect manner as in the absence of the other eyes.
“Eye can be transplanted.”
