Evening Documentary Photography project, featuring Anfield Stadium in Liverpool with a Fine Art focus
The location I chose was Anfield, Liverpool, and I focused the aesthetic of this documentary photography project to be a very cenceptual, fine art style.
I chose Anfield because of its vibrancy, it's liveliness and because it is one of my favourite places in the world as a Liverpool FC fan. Taking these photographs as evening shots meant the timing had to just right since the project was set in the Autumn, the weather was becoming more and more unpredictable which was another interesting element to work with.
Anfield is always buzzing with people on a match day and I didn't want to show any people in the photographs, I wanted it to be about documenting the journey to Anfield, as if it was match day, and to show that even when nobody is there, when everyone is enjoying the game inside the stadium, and then the final few shots are to show the stadium after the game has finished and everyone has left.
