We got a list of design studios around the globe and were asked to make a tribute to one of them. I decided to pay a tribute to the Berlin based bureau Hort. I created a Hort starter package that contained four pieces of work that all had a link to work they'd made in the past and linked it to my personal life.
The first part of the package is a love lettre from me to Hort as a young designer. Second a book containing an interview with Eike König by Anna Dorothea Ker. The book also contained 8 screenprinted posters with the 8 rules Eike König lives by. The fourth design is a 50x50cm cloth with a print made out of an analogue picture I took in Berlin that I decoded into a music file, played a music number over and than decoded it back to a Jpeg file.
This package is a tribute not only to Hort but also to the beauty of imperfections in design.
