Uncanny Valley - Desktopography 2017

Uncanny Valley is my submission to Desktopography 2017.
It's always an honour to have my work featured alongside such talented artists, designers, and creators.
A somewhat loose thematic sequel to my submissions for the 2014 Desktopography release, Uncanny Valley attempts to bridge my love of artistic surrealism with my love of the mountains. I tried to capture a sense of depth and scale with this piece, depicting an otherworldly scene where nature and technology coexist in harmony.

This was created 100% in Photoshop, using a combination of photomanipulation techniques and hand-painting.
This is the electric (bighorn) sheep that androids dream of.
The 'impossible triangle'  theme makes a repeat appearance in this piece, serving this time as a monolith of sorts. A representation of advanced technology that is far beyond our ability to comprehend.
Watch the creation process to see how I created this piece.
