Pointillist cellular structures I began to draw as an initial starting point after the brief on science.
Using vibrant colours inspired by scientific photos of cells where they put over on RGB filter which highlights structures and shapes.
Inspired by the idea of growth in cells I started to experiment with inks and pigment.
Inspired by the traditional dying method of batik, I began using wax dripped onto vibrant ink patterned paper to make organic shapes and painting over. Once done with the wax process I melted it off to show the designs underneath.

I continued with batik to create more clean and elaborate designs.
For my final show I created two final prices.
I presented my designs on small peices of acetate applied to a window, allowing light to shine through.
For my second piece I showcased my layered batik process onto a square canvas.
