HE LIKED BULLDOGS... AND ARTISAN FARE
The Churchill was a new LA restaurant with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and a seasonally changing menu. The brand elements were inspired by old farmer's almanacs and feature deconstructed wind and weather pattern graphics coupled with a tightly gridded menu.
The identity continues this idea with a Bulldog topped weathervane. Although the theme of the restaurant isn't directly related to Winston Churchill, the owners wanted a nod to him--hence the bulldog. I developed the identity, brand, and menu system.
