Public Service Announcement - Ad Concept for Ocean Conservancy (2016)
Ocean Conservancy is a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. dedicated to the protecting the world’s oceans and marine life. They advocate for clean bodies of water and confront problems of overfishing, oil spills, and ocean acidification. This PSA addresses the issue of plastic waste in the ocean, which not only affects marine life, but also the fishing industry. Ocean waste obstructs commercial fishing boats, which costs the livelihoods of fishermen. The goal is to make general audiences mindful of their plastic use, as small actions such as repeatedly buying bottled water affects fish and humans on a larger scale.
