Autobiographical Publication for
Advertising and Graphic Design - Saturday Morning Art Classes
at Columbus College of Art & Design (Spring 2017)
This publication is the final project for the ten-week Advertising & Graphic Design class that introduced us to the principles of graphic design and fundamentals of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Our goal was to use what we learned to produce a small, 8-page autobiographical publication made up primarily of images. Influenced by the style of magazines such as Detail and National Geographic, I chose to focus on my love for photography, specifically motorsports and architectural fields. Since each takes dramatically different approaches to photography, I wanted the title of the publication to reflect this, thus Diametric was born. To carry this play on opposites through, I alternated the concept on each spread.
Though the assignment suggested US Letter size pages, I used A4 since I prefer its proportions.
