Discovering the Deserted
Finding beauty in the "nothing"
Seeded from a preconceived notion of vast nothingness disconnected from the nourishment of life, the desert seeks a beauty outside the conventional landscape. Parted from civilization and human touch I sought to reveal the harsh landscapes dressed under its many different looks. From rivets swimming into monumental sand dunes, to the desolate beauty of a single tree silhouetted in the sunrise, I contrasted the immensity of the areas with symbols of life, sun- water - color- etc.
Winds push sand to new peaks, and water bathes over ancient cracks. Similar to our imbalanced equilibrium, the desert lives in a continuous state of change.
