Poster Design, Direct Mail, Typography
This direct mail piece and poster advertises an exhibition of the typeface Mrs Eaves at the Type Factory Museum, a fictional organization that I branded as well. Mrs Eaves was designed by Zuzana Licko of the Emigre type foundry as a revival of the typeface Baskerville.
When received in the mail, it is fully folded with an illustration on the front, and with a map, a schedule, and contact info on the back. When unfolded once, it reveals an introduction to Mrs Eaves and a timeline of typographic style. Unfold a second time and one can read some humorous “typographic diseases” by Ellen Lupton, view a specimen of Mrs Eaves, and learn some type anatomy. Unfolding the last time reveals the poster with a typographic illustration and tear-off tickets with information about the exhibit.
