The DVD set is designed for the die-hard fans of Sherlock. Wallpaper patterns in Sherlock play an essential role for the success of its set design. The die-hard fan would recognize these patterns as one of the most iconic creatives from the show. Therefore, the three different patterns are used as the designs for the DVD discs.

The DVD case is designed to look like the file case that's commonly used by detectives, which is the main theme of the show.
