Fork & Plate | Save the Date
Designed for a pair of friends who are taking the big leap and tying the knot soon. The design was tailored to fit the couple's wedding color palate, which included a deep, smokey grey and a rich, plum purple. I used a geometric pattern, reflecting on who they are as individuals and as a couple. I entitled the design, Fork and Plate, because that was the source of my inspiration for this project.
About the design choices I made, I set out to create a design that reflected both the bride and the groom. I used a mix of three different fonts in order to create a balance between femininity and masculinity. I chose the script font because it looks very much like the bride's actual handwriting. From there, I added two different block fonts, one bold and one with a thinner weight, to balance out the design and provide a little more masculinity. Overall, I feel as if I accomplished my goal. The couple loved the design and that's enough for me.
