Cyanotypes New Perspectives Exhibition UTS Library
Poppy Rodrigues experiments with the chemical processes of cyanotypes in order to explore how photographs can convey an underlying emotion or felt experience of  place alongside it’s tangible qualities.
She was drawn to the symmetrical and repetitive architecture of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Through experimenting with different chemicals and ingredients she arrived at a number of iterations of the same images. Presented here as a series, her cyanotypes are evidence of the malleability of the photographic image and the profoundly different emotive possibilities that can be conveyed in the process of printing an image.
