Semiotics: Label Swap
For our semiotics brief, I needed to choose two products which had different target markets and swap the labels (or signifiers) for each. The idea behind this project was to explore semiotics as a tool to help us discover the meanings of design. For my two products, I chose Jackman Ridge Medium White and Arnott's Iced Animals. These two products both obviously have very different intended audiences and the final result dramatically changed who the products look to be intended for and created new meaning associated with the designs of the products.
