P r o j e c t 13 D i s e a s e
As a graphic design student, I've learned about experimenting with my surrounding, translate them into my own language, graphic. Apart from designing, I write stories on my free time. Throughout my writing journey, I found one thing that always put me on a state where I always got random inspirations from random topics. I could write about a girl suffered from Kleine-Levin syndrome where it happened that she was actually awake in her dream and never woke up because she enjoyed her time too much there. I could make up my own high-fantasy world where mundane Kings kill each other including their citizens so they can rule the kingdom with only demonic creatures. I trained my sense of writing with various self projects that can help me built this certain emotion and feelings when I create stories or artwork. Those unstoppable ideas always disturb me which is the reason why I suddenly came up with an idea to make a print project based on Alzheimer's disease. Speaking truthfully, I've always interested in such disease that I wanted to create some works out of it.
The main concept of the project is to create seven poster based on seven stage of Alzheimer's disease. As you know, Alzheimer's disease typically progresses slowly in three general stages — mild (early-stage), moderate (middle-stage), and severe (late-stage) based on the ideas of Dr.Resiberg. I made seven posters to represent seven stages of the disease. Note that this is my personal interpretation of how I see the symptoms of each stage, it might look different to some people but I tried hard to represent it in the general way.
