Copper Coils Brewing Co. Brand & Packaging Design

Copper Coils Brewing Co. required a visual identity to properly represent its ambitions and “Steampunk” soul, in a way that would connect with its audience. The use and combination of different materials on the products was essential in staying true to the genre. Most importantly, the overall look needed to be visually memorable, easily recognizable, and stand out among all others... A brand to be proud of.
“Copper Coils gives you the best of two worlds… vintage and modern, wrapped in unique.
So, try on a new hat. You’re so much more than an everyday brew.”
(The brand slogan is displayed on the back label)
This specially designed look, use of different materials, metallic ink, unique hanging tag with laser-cut logo, and hexagon display case/box all adds to the “Special” of this Special Collector’s Edition. The unique design element of the black matte bottles with black glossy gears is featured throughout the Copper Coils product line and not just on the Special Collector’s Edition bottles (because it's such an awesome design detail, it was really a no-brainer).
In addition to being visually awesome, this Special Collector’s Edition contains samples of six different types of Copper Coils brews. Each “Steampunk” themed label (which is an exaggeration of the regular labels) reflects a specific beer, its intensity and color matching each object…

Rolling Gears” – Indian Pale Ale (the lightest of beer colors is consistent with the gears’ light color)
Brass Boots” – Topped Off Pilsner (still light, but a bit darker)
Copper Link” – The Hefeweizen (represented by a pocket watch, an item that uses a chain)
Tanned Leather” – Amber Ale (each beer and paired object, still increasing in color and value)
Dirty Face” – Brown Ale (the goggle shape of the label represents the name)
Loaded Top Hat” – Wicked Stout (the label is the shape of the Copper Coils girl with the loaded gun, who’s wearing a top hat, similar to the color of Stout)
