One of my favorite films, Saving Private Ryan has no opening credit sequence. So naturally when the project was given to us as part of an art direction class, I had to set out to fix the problem.

Part of what makes the film great is the striking realism of the film, so while the credits explore the overlap of war and humanity, they are also presented as documents from the time, respecting both the graphic and stylistic languages of the time.
