A common subject in my art is the idea of mermaids. For this color theory project, we were to make a paper collage travel poster, and I created this image influenced by the concept of Atlantis as well as any semblance of Greco-Romanesque architecture. The travel poster shows the mermaids as if they were part of a zoo or aquarium exhibit, a rather problematic theme, and thus their intense, hollow gaze is apparent.
