Designed to accompany an exhibition at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, "Creating Density" concentrates on the teachings of statistican Edward R. Tufte, demonstrating his theories of creating data intense, logical and informative graphics.

The process is devided into five chapters, representing five important steps of successful data visualization.

The layout is built on two axes, referencing to a coordinate system. The horizontal axis is constant throughout the folder while the position of the vertical axis as well as the text color indicate the process of the lecture.

For vizualization I created eleven simple coordinate systems, each representing a step in developing a high quality diagram. Thereby a meaningless graph is turned into a complex data visualisation.

Complementing the content each chapter features an exaplme as well as qoutes from Tufte‘s books.
