Sprite based Portraits (original/scratch)

These are essentially sprite enhanced portraits, done for a client for an unreleased game.
Here is an NPC (non-playable character) based on Nintendo of America's president, as suggested by the client.
- Bottom left: initial concept of the face,
- Top: first attempt at recreating the head portion,
- next is adding more contrasting shadows and highlights on the skin
- near final had a better colour palette and details, need to better adapter the top of the head and the top chest.
Here is an attempt to create a skeleton NPC portrait, suggested for a "haunted" level for an unreleased game as oppose to overused zombies.
Remodelled alternate
This is an enemy skeleton NPC, the purple is just showing reused tile assets.
This is one of many female NPC's. This one in particular is more realistic than the other, more cartoonish NPC's in the game (not sure what to do with this one as of 2016).
I was asked to create a western, "fancy man" NPC that the player plays card mini-games with for items and information.
This is an unused model, which was based on 2 things;

- Create a detailed sprite using only 3 colours, the limit of most Nintendo game sprites from back in the 80's

- A "Mario-eque" character (this one's from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
Near finished, needs remodelling on the face, the colour palette on the hair needs adjustments & the shoulder areas need some tweaks to make them look better.
An animal NPC/Platform, the player would stand on top of the turtle for a slow ride...
These are based on a couple goat related indie(independent) games released in the past few years (2014-2015). The images used as reference in making these were works of other artists.
