Entrada Concept PC was designed for Intel Developers Forum. As a home server, this device is a gateway to communicate to multiple PCs in a household. Moving away from conventional “dusty beige” computer boxes, Entrada (which means entrance in Italian) expresses it’s openness with its oversized doors that wraps the main housing.
Double hinged door mechanism creates interesting path for the doors, unconventional to any PCs on the market. Commonly overlooked details such as venting was taken as one of the opportunities to really make this product stand out from the competitions.  At the top where the fans are located, Lycra fabric is stretched over structural ribs to create beautiful and very subtle wave effects which can not be duplicated in typical injection molded plastic parts.
A full functional prototype was created for the Intel Developers Forum. The concept was showcased, and the working prototype PC also ran the keynote speech presentation for Patrick Gelsinger.
