The Women of Judah Conference was an event designed to encourage women to overcome the various challenges and stresses of life by finding comfort and strength in God. The music, the preaching and the prayer time all focused on this. Needless to say, the promotional materials for the event needed to do the same. The designs needed to be positive and uplifting. I chose to use a light blue background to evoke thoughts of a clear non-threatening sky and the joys of Heaven. I continued this cool color palette throughout, with shades of blue and purple for the text. I chose the serif typefaces Edwardian Script ITC and Monotype Corsiva to create a sense of elegance and femininity, as well as a light, airy feel - a nice contrast to the emotional heaviness a potential attendee might be feeling. Seen below are the postcard and tri-fold brochure I designed to promote the conference, and the cd cover I designed for audio recordings of the conference.
