Clockwork Cowboy (Academic)

Hello, everyone! I present to you: "Clockwork Cowboy". The game was developed as a project for a university class on our fourth semester.
About:

We worked in a group of three, however, some of the assets (all the animations, for example) were made by other classmates. Names included in the "credits" menu.

Members:
Arthur Schünemann: Environment modelling/texturing
Giovanni Zambiasi: Game Design, Programming
Guilherme Doval: Character modelling/texturing

Development time:
4 months

Tools:
Unity3D, Blender, Substance Painter/Designer, Maya
What I Did:
I programmed the entire project.
The Game:

The assignment was to make a 3D game that fit into the "shooter" category, using some of the themes suggested by the class. And thus, we came up with the idea of a retrofuturistic steampunk western shooter, with a cover based gameplay and realistic art style. By the end of the semester, we were four months into development.
We wanted to incorporate "heat" into the gameplay, since we were going for the steampunk theme, so we came up with the "overheat" mechanic.
Whenever the player shoots, heat builds up in his robotic arm. The heat level is shown by the pressure meter on the bottom-right corner, and the lamp on the character's arm.
At any time, the player can activate the "overheat", which will interact differently with each one of his weapons.
