After my freshman year at Yale (Summer 2016), I interned at WeChat in Guangzhou, China. My position was in the marketing department, and my mentor throughout the summer was Yolanda Chen. While at WeChat, I participated in a variety of projects, most notably the International Developer's website and a set of standardized marketing PowerPoints for global outreach and expansion efforts. While at WeChat, I gained many very valuable skills, most notably a deep understanding of Chinese culture with respect to technology and mobile-first applications.
