'Modern Man' (2014) was my first foray into experimenting with sculptural forms aside from classic portraiture in clay. I wanted to make a tangible, three dimensional form of my then-drawing style, and to experiment with fabric and colours a little more boldly than before. I used a variety of materials, mainly fabric and wire. He is bigger than life-size.
