Observing wheelchair users, we find that they stay at home more than going out most of the time; in this case, to design a wheelchair as furniture would make users feel more comfortable and compatible at home.
Well Chair is a product, of which main purpose is to reduce the difference in mind between users and non-users, helps users feel not isolated, and makes people aware of that Well Chair could be not only a medical supply but a piece of furniture. Let the whole shape and the comfort integrate into homes like a normal chair.
In order to change medical supplies into furniture, the amount of pipes and solder joints must be reduced to a minimum and be hidden under the surface. When joining pipes and surfaces, the supporting force should be taken into account at the same time. The coated surface could diminish the existence of pipes and the curve emphasizes the comfort feeling. Other assemblies such as handles, footrests and the brakes are all integrated into pipes and surface for completeness.
Foldable handles make Well Chair more similar to furniture.
Put bearings in the front bent iron pipes, and the section of bearings must be perpendicular to the ground to replace the old type rotary wheel.
